Looking for pet friendly/ affordable (Murphysboro)

My wife and I are looking for a new place to live. She has a good reliable job and we can afford less than $750 a month. Prefer something closer to owner financing but rent to own or just renting is a possibility also. We would prefer a fixer upper so I can have some projects to do until my work starts up again. We have 2 30 to 40 lb rescue pups that are house broken guard dogs.
We are 28 and 27 yo and have been living in camper for the last few years, so no recent rental history. And working off utility payments with oddjobs and lawn work.
